Welcome to my page and thanks for listening!
I'm a singer/songwriter/guitarist in Nashville, TN looking for a staff writing or developmental deal with a publisher. I've written songs for many years and work with some great writers: Billy Yates, Julie Roberts, Arlos Smith, Dave Gibson, Jason Matthews, Lisa Carver, and many others. I perform regularly at writer's nights and with my own band. Artists I've performed with include: Billy Yates, Jimmy Fortune, Gene Watson, T. Graham Brown, Julie Roberts, Buddy Jewell, Ray Scott, Tammy Cochran, John Rich, Jeffrey Steele, Sherrie Austin, Jeff Bates, George Ducas, George Hamilton IV, Trailer Choir, Due West, Kevin Denney, Sunny Sweeney, Brice Long, and many more. I'm featured on album releases by Chuck Allen Floyd, and Kat Hunter. I currently play guitar for MCA Nashville artist, Julie Roberts, and am band leader for Billy Yates.
I write articles for www.songwriterpro.com and www.songwritersrus.com as well as critique in the Nashville Bound section of www.tunesmith.net. My song "Gold Front Tooth" won the Tunesmith Song of the Year award in 2005 and "Say When" won the Tunesmith 2009 event contest, and "Crawl" was the runner up in the 2010 Tunesmith/Andy Griggs Song Challenge. I've had songs on hold with Carolina Rain, Darryl Worley, Gary Allen among others and songs featured on the CMT Dance Link video series. Recent cuts include When The New Wears Off (Rick Stevens), She's Water (James Lann) and Friendship On Fire (Chuck Allen Floyd).

Thanks for the friend accept. As a new member, I am trying to network, and understand a little more about how to find opportunities in the music industry. I am mostly interested in writing and co-writing, but would welcome local performing (here in Rochester, MN - or area at least to start).
I know you are busy, and it looks like your efforts are being recognized with some of your recent contest entries, etc. I honestly just want to know where to start in all of this. I have recorded in my basement for a while, and would like to try to do something with this gift I feel I have received from God. If you have any advice for a rookie, I'd love to hear it.
