Greg Swartzentruber is a guy whose old friends would be surprised that he is a songwriter. Greg was told in 7th grade that he was anything but musical... He was too naive to know any better and basically believed that. But he always gravitated to musical friends and absorbed a wide array of musical influences. He pursued a Ph.D. in Philosophy and went on to teach at several different universities. He had a brief flirting career as an actor on both stage and screen. After eventually turning his back on Academia, he decided, for some dumb reason, in his early 40's that he would try his hand at songwriting. Remarkably Greg has discovered that he is not so un-musical as he had been led to believe. He actually has written some palatable tunes and really believes he can write some great ones with time and effort. While once thinking it was his destiny to write the "Great American Novel" he now finds a challenge in the task of condensing a novel's worth of drama, tragedy, love, emotion, wit or intelligence into a three minute, audible package. He is still primarily a lyricist but is working hard on musical aptitudes and has begun to compose a few melodies even. But for now he is constantly looking for musical collaborators to turn his lyrical creations into songs.

Hey partner! Congrats on the spotlight! You and your talent should always be in the spotlight. I still love the song we wrote and recorded together, and I look forward to the next one.

Again, big HURRAYS for you in the spotlight. That's where you belong, mister.

Hi Greg,

Thanks for the friend request....I am, really!
I read your work all the time on that other forum. I don't usually say anything because most of the time, I can't find anything much to nit. I always enjoy your writing and the way you turn a country phrase.

I think we may have spoken before....but if we haven't...very glad to meet you....stay in touch...ok?

Hope to talk to ya soon.

Hi Greg,

Thanks so much for your nice compliment. Your lyrics are inspiring, and that makes it easy to sing them. I sure love "I'm All About That", brilliant lyrics and a great sound.

Thank you for inviting me to take a look here Greg, I sure appreciate that you led me here,
