Hey! My name is Greg Shields and thank you very much for stopping by! Im a 28 year old from Statesville, North Carolina (where?) yeah I know, its about 40 miles north of Charlotte. I'm a christian and try everyday to glorify God with my life. I don't always succeed, I guess thats the human in me, but God is good and has blessed me more than I ever deserved. I work full time as a Paramedic, one of the coolest professions in the world! Ive been married 1 year to the most wonderful woman Ive ever met and we live with our 2 cats Marcus and Walter, and our dog Riley.

Ive been a musician and songwriter for most my life, can't read a lick of music but I like it that way. I've been recording and producing for about 8 years, mostly doing my own stuff but occasionally a project here and there for someone else. Ive played in christian rock bands ever since highschool, but Ive just recently started attempting to market myself as a songwriter. I love to write and record music, at times it totally consumes me, ask my wife. She loves me anyway though. I dont care much anymore about performing, I'll never totally shut the door on it should the opportunity arise, but for now Im focused 100% on just writing good songs. Anyway, thats a brief run down on who I am and what Im doing here. Feel free to ask if you wanna know anything else!

New song up co-written with Tom Gould

The demo for "Sometimes", co-written with Tom Gould at Ash Street music is finished! I worked on it for probably 2 weeks trying to find the right sound for it. I considered just an acoustic demo several times, but I think I finally found a sound that fits the emotion of the song. Im glad its finished though, Im sure my wife is too because once I start working on something it pretty much consumes 90% of my free time until its done. Mammas don't let your babies grow up to be songwriters...

Been a busy few weeks

Hello everybody! Well my life is finally getting back to normal after a busy few weeks. I just uploaded a new song of mine called "everybodys waiting". I was planning to make a few changes on it, but the more I tried to change it, the more I realized I was doing so for the wrong reasons.
