Hi, my name is Michelle (Shelly) Anderson, and I'm a long-time reader (first-time caller -ha) of Tunesmith, so I thought I'd finally dive in and join this community.

I am one third of a band called Red River, which is all home-grown, home-produced music. My husband ("the producer") and I live in a suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Our bandmate lives in Kihei, Hawaii (it's a long, meandering story that started 40-odd years ago in north Minneapolis, Minnesota).

Our music follows a few different paths, but our focus here is on alternative country.

All three of us write and sing, and there's always at least a small grain of truth in every one of our songs. Write what you know, they say, so we write the stories of our lives.
